God damn, don't get me started on blazing saddles, Jesus Christ, that's my second favorite movie

"No damn god blargit, the sherrif is a --bong--"

"He said that the sherrif is near!"

"Well, that's the end of that suit..."

"We can't afford no horses...send up a couple of ******s instead.....uh excuse me sir, my grandfather was dutch..."

i HATE pretty woman, more than almost any film...

but i also used to know an escort service, and plenty of the girls married customers. the guys were always falling in love with them. on the other hand, the girls and the guys were both nothing like the assholes in pretty woman.

airplane is pretty darn good. kentucky fried movie and amazon women on the moon are keepers. weird al's uhf is our family holiday film. i do have a couple favorite hooker movies - ever see whore or crimes of passion?

Funny thing about Blazing Saddles...about a year ago I was watching it on TV, it was obviously edited, but not how you'd think...this movie was from '74, so it wasn't politically incorrect to say "******" or any other racial slur, so the version of it I saw was probably one of the original made for TV versions, and it had not edited those words out...but they DID edit out the funamental "curse" words like "hell" and "damn" and anything not even considered close to a curse word by today's standards.

Unreal that movie is almost 30 years old.
There's no fucking WAY they could get away with most of that shit in a modern day film. Mel Brookes manages to insult pretty much every race and color, all in one film. Hillarious. The funny thing is that Richard Pryor helped write the script.

              yeah... it's pretty timeless :-)

i recently watched a movie on tv - can't remember what it was, maybe weird science - and they left in the damns but edited out the god damns. strange shit!

now i think of it, i think the reason mel brooks pulled off blazing saddles was because he insulted everybody. if he had only insulted some, people would have been pissed, but he happily insulted EVERYONE including every group he belongs to *grin*

Fucking classic, not quite as funny as the previous two movies mentioned, but definetely worth seeing. The sequel is actually pretty funny, too...the Orangatan from "Any Which Way But Loose" is in it.

Carl Spackler: So I jump ship in Hong Kong and make my way over to Tibet,
and I get on as a looper at a course over in the Himalayas. A looper, you
know, a caddy, a looper, a jock. So, I tell them I'm a pro jock, and who do
you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama.
The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. So, I'm on the first tee
with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one -- big hitter,
the Lama -- long, into a ten-thousand foot crevice, right at the base of
this glacier. And do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga...gunga --
gunga galunga. So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I
say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the
effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when
you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consiousness." So I got
that goin' for me, which is nice.

This is not the correct answer. Mitch Cumstein is the answer for both roommate & night putting...
