So how long are you canucks going to hold on to your US dollars?

We have seen the biggest drop ever in currency trading beetween the two countries.

Traditionally it takes 5-10 years for major moves, up or down.

We are looking at a 1 year drop over the past year of 36.5%... another record broken for the heir Bush administration.

Bearing the past in mind, it would theoretically take about 20-25 years for the rate to climb back up to where it was.

Can you let your US dollars sit in a US account while you get raped for service fees for that long?

Just what the hell are you going to do?

well, its now a bit too late to change your US $ in to canadian ones... It might go up for 2-3% more... can also drop a bit.... that would have been a good move to do when the canadian dollar was at $0.70..... or less

Depends. I would agree that the bank of canada will try to slow down the drop in rates and we may see a slight increase of 1%-2% this week but the trend is going to be downward. According to some, the fall of the ponzi dollar has only just begun.

I convert them to canadian as I get the money. Going for an average effect then trying to guess the currency markets.
