best dvd you own?

not just for the film but for the extras - Pleasantville, Usual Suspects and LA Confidential are the ones I own that I think have the best overall extras package but I think Ferris Buller has the best commentary if you are a film nut because John Hughes just was involved with everything from casting to music selection and set dressing.

I want more dvds..what are the best you own?

I won't say Rudy is the best movie I ever saw...but I will say it's what I call a guilty pleasure.

Rudy is one of those movies that if I'm flipping through the channels and I happen to run across it I'll watch it again and again no matther where it's at in the film...LOL.

I've seen the movie from start to finish maybe once, twice, but I've seen it from other points to the end seriously hundreds of times...LOL

There's a running joke in my family about me and the movie Rudy.

Actually, the best well made movie, I ever saw was Shawshank Redenption.

Awesome story, well put together movie.

Rudy and Shawshank are my 2 favorites.

I've got the laserdisc too, which has comentary tracks that aren't the same as what's on DVD. This is my favorite flick.

Fuckin' A. The deleted scenes on the boogie nights DVD are ridiculous, especially the one with Wahlberg and Luis Guzman doing the porno tape bar scene about 100 times with no success.

Any of the Kevin Smith special edition DVDs are packed with extras like commentary and deleted scenes, so those are a nice pickup if you like his work. I love the Rushmore DVD from the Criterion Collection...not to mention the Royal Tenenbaums from Wes Anderson too, both have lots of good extras.

I just picked up the SE of Fargo too...God bless those Coen Bros....

Yeah, I'm a massive smith fan (clerks is my all time fave movie) and I have all the dvds, I should have mentioned them. The extras got better after clerks. The Clerks dvd commentary was for the laser disc so it is a bit odd...good, but odd.

Clerks is #1 for me as well...but I'm from NJ, so i pretty much have no choice but to watch Clerks while listening to the Boss and eating a Taylor ham and egg sandwich.

The best DVD I own is the Beastie Boys video anthology. By far.

It's a 2-disk set, and every single song/video has multiple remixes and camera angles, so you get like 30 different song/video combinations for each track.

If you're a B Boys fan, you can watch this thing for hours and not get bored.

The best music DVD I own is the Smashing Pumpkins..it is all their videos with commentaries by Billy..good stuff and an example to other bands as to what to do with a DVD package.

I have so many hundreds of dvds, and so many of them have cool features.. Although the Original Men in Black Black Box Collector's edition had some awesome features.. Bad Boys has some cool stuff. Quite a few of the kid's dvds have neat stuff.. The Tarzan Collector's Pack for one. I love Phil Collins so the music videos rock.

Cripes there are so many I can't even begin to list them all.
