im ny crew the fat friend is often referred to the "grenade" as someone has to make the sacrifice of throwing themselves on the live grenade so the rest of the soldiers can pass (to the hott chicks), because no matter how fat the friend rarely will get left behind alone.

Seriously though, you dont need to get RID of the fat chick. Play up the conversation with both of them, dont exclude anyone, and give the hottie a call in a couple days (2-3-4 day rule, whatever you use). If you get in good with the "undesirable" friend then they'll both talk about you until you call. The friend will be happy for the hotty, even if she is alone.
