To me, my word is my bond, and a contract is a contract. Of course, if it's some sort of hardship or special circumstance, then we all need to be open. But to refuse to even explain the details why, that is not cool. After all, you're asking someone who've you agreed to pay $1000's to tear up the agreement. That person may be willing to do it, but he deserves an explanation at a minimum.
After all, you're asking a huge favor, and all you can do it be a prick about it. You even threatened bodily harm. What an ass.
I understand they tore up your contract. But if it was me you were threatening, I would have put an attorney on your butt just to make your jerkoff ass feel pain.
