i hate the one's with music most of all.

but still have hate for all audio banners. as hooper and i were discussing the other day, it's really just training to avoid running your cursor over banners of any kind.

I actually installed Mozilla Firebird just for GFY. It's the only thing I use it for. All the flash shit is disabled.

Thats why they have the stupid sheep banner to retrain you to click on them again.

It goes hand in hand with what the hun was saying about sponsor popups. Soon we will have everybody trained not to click or mouseover anything.

Too fuckin right !! A few days ago I had stayed up all night to get some work finnished and before i went to sleep i checked one of the boards and my mouse hovered over one of those weg cash flash banners which made me jump off my chair, really scared the shit outta me. It was just so unexpected and loud, certainly not the shit you want when you haven't had sleep for 24 hours

I simply dont understand why people dont understand common principles like this.

The initial increase (if its even there) from musical banners couldn't possibly be worth the outcome of what it teaches the consumers that don't purchase - DO NOT PUT YOUR MOUSE ANYWHERE NEAR A BANNER.

Is it just me or is teaching your consumers to stay away from your ads very anti-productive?

I've personally noticed myself avoiding banners on every single webmaster site I frequent.
