    Is it possible to apply for a US bank account?

    Is it possible to apply for a US bank account if you are not a US-resident?

    Is that possible?

    I would like to open an account so I get a CC to accept payments via Paypal.
    RIght now , the country where I live is not elegible to receive funds .
    All will be solved if I have a bank account in the US.
    ANybody knows if it's possible?

              I live in Canada and I hae a US bank account...most canadian banks are affiliated with an american bank and will open a US account w/ u if u already have a canadian acohahahaha open w/ them..

                  I use in NY TDwaterhouse. I have from them a " visa check card" that acts like a credit card... as long as you have funds in the account....
                  I know that Asspimple is stoopid ... As he says, it is a FACT !

                  But I can't figure out how he can breathe or type , at the same time ....

                                  valisinternational.com only applies for one bank in DE,USA, is that normal?
                                  Is this thing recognized?
                                  anyone has any other bank who would accept international applications ?

                                              Are you talking about getting a merchant account, or just a business account? If you are talking about a merchant account that can accept V/MC transactions, you will need to be incorporated in the US. We can help you with that, and help you with the US merchant account.

                                                  I'm planning to start a design online store.
                                                  Wich would be the benefits to have a merchant account ? I think I don't need if my only need is to receive money.
