"I try to make a habit of bouncing my eyes up to the face of a beautiful woman, and often repeat “not mine” in my head or even verbally. She’s not mine. God has her set aside. She’s not mine. She’s His little girl, and she needs me to fight for her by keeping my eyes where they should be."
they are a good representation of how most single women would LIKE to be...they are exremely picky though - for the past few years they have been brushing off men for the tiniest flaws.
It is popular because it is more a representation of the lifestyle most American women would like to lead. Independently wealthy, bloated ego'd, tragically hip, dirty whores void of any dignity.
I think it portrays guys as being in the wrong all the time. The stupid cows sit around all day and talk about their shitty lives and failed relationships and its always the guys who are in the wrong.
Us women like to think we will have that much fun when we're in our 30s and be happy being free and single. Its the show for single girls to watch and be inspired to stay single - not because they bonk around but because of their freedom..
but in real life the actresses are either married or in long-term relationships or have babies.. - Kristen Davies (charlotte york) is the only one who isn't - and she said in a recent interview, she wishes she could settle down like her castmates - and i also read SJP - (Carrie Bradshaw) - is embarassed about dressing and acting like a 22 year old when shes in her late 30's..
No. A huge majority of women I know in that age range are NOTHING like those women. Those women are shrewd, bitchy, arrogant, slutty and have lots of money. Most of the women I know are less bitchy (but still bitchy), MUCH less arrogant, not NEARLY as slutty (just a little) and have less money. And they certainly don't have thousands of dollars of designer clothes in their closets working a job that would pay around $30-50k per year. LMAO
I do know ONE girl that would fit right in with them. My husband's sister. Hehe.

I hate that show.
I dont really know any men that dont hate this show .. the last thing men want to see is a group of women using and abusing men on a daily basis.. and deviating as far as possible from the steriotypical 50's housewife..
having said that .. i disagree with how these women conduct themselves.. its pretty disgusting .. especially Samantha - i dont think i have seen her say No to sex once.

It's a television show. It's for entertainment purposes. It in no way reflects real American women. The show does not offend me in anyway. Men act like sluts all the time. They rarely turn down sex. If a woman wants to behave that way, I think it's fine, as long as she is safe about it. I think Samantha is cool, a little dirty, but it's entertainment. I watched 2 seasons and then it bored me. Same crud different show.
