Webmaster of UrbanUnderworld.com Arrested
(Hotkey Internet Café, Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia) - On September 1st, 2003 at 1:30 PM Australian federal police searched my home with a warrant. They confiscated a computer and accessories.
When I arrived home later that evening they arrested me. Detectives asked me briefly about the Russian execution videos imported from Chechnya and explained that I violated two terrorism codes; conspiring to fund terrorism and threatening a political leader.
After I asked them how I?d conspired to fund terrorism they said that I was making money with UrbanUnderworld.com through traffic generated by videos of terrorism before reading out evidence recorded August 3rd, 2003 of me saying ?All in due time I?ll lead my own army of superhuman cock whores to slaughter the prime minister of Australia!? Unsatisfied with everything, I started questioning the integrity of my arrest. One of the detectives realized I wasn?t as stupid as they thought and jumped from the arrest and started lecturing me about obscenity.
After several minutes of incoherent jargon the other said that they just needed to ask some questions from paper and they?d never see me again. At that time I was a little bit nervous, so I didn?t intercept. From paper he read questions about my race, religion and background. Answering Caucasian, atheist and no criminal record they quickly presumed I wasn?t a terrorist and let me leave.
This says something about the stupidity of federal police judging if or not I had plans on committing terrorist crimes by my race, religion and background. Second of all it says something about freedom of speech in Australia, or lack thereof.
They assured return of my belongings within 72 hours but I didn?t receive them until a week later, which could mean, forensics sent my computer to the city to make a copy of my hard drive, invading my privacy.
Even though I finally got it back, the detectives had spoken to my local and only ISP in this town and questioned them for my address to make the arrest and they suspended my account until January 1st, 2004 for ?illegal activity? and I haven?t had home Internet use since.
The Australian government pretty successfully cancelled the UrbanUnderworld.com project. It now forwards to its host, ShotgunSodomy.com.
