I have insurence and called my broker today and she said this isn't covered for some reason. Hopefully she's wrong and i'll hear form their claims dept soon. She also said flood insurence is only avalible from the goverment. Any know anything about this?

My friend works for an insurance company and he told me before about claims, that insurance companies only give flood insurance if it is considered by the government flood plains area... otherwise you have to purchase flood insurance separately.
