          Guys,

Apologies for the delays which you're seeing on the Visa approvals. Unfortunately, once the sites have passed through the IPSP and their acquiring bank(s), they are in Visa's hands and there is little which can be done to speed up the process.

That said, we are actively working with our acquiring banks to determine what, if anything, can be done to resolve these delays.

Thanks for your patience and if any one has further questions, feel free to contact me directly.

btw.: does this also apply to VISA Europe? As far as I know you don't have to wait for VISA approval when using Verotel.
What about CCBillEU and IBillEU? Also no waiting for VISA?
                    Just curious...

Yeah and it's taking way to long. Been waiting 2 weeks for a new site with jettis to get approved and after reading this i hope it doesn't turn into much more but sounds like its going to.

Only approved U.S. sponsored merchants may process through a U.S. IPSP. The final approval on merchant or site is granted by Visa USA.

Currently, this does not apply to Visa International and our, or other IPSP, EU relationships.

No.. it applies to no other banking region with the exception of North America - the rest voted it down.

Irony is.. folks are even taking the trouble to open their legs with VISA US and paying them money ($750) for this, lining themselves up like ducks for a prosecution under US laws and thinking they are "legitimate" in some way - amazing!!

Basically the US VISA deal means filling in the paperwork, - this we found the most objectionable part - our business is not the concern of VISA - Then paying them $750 for the honor.

All transactions thru "approved" websites are fed back to VISA, quote "to monitor chargeback ratios". This also provides *any* other "authority" to immediate have access and use:

                                  (a) All data collected about your business activities are part of the application process, plus

                                  (b) All membership, card numbers, customer addresses, email accounts etc.

This greatly simplies a prosecutors job when he can rely on access to all financial, business info and membership records - sure makes the DOJ's footwork easier and facilates bulk prosecutions.

BTW... VISA have in the past had a very good record at assisting government agencies within the US.

This may not happen... sure hope it don't... but frankly, the likelyhood is it will.
