    Before the Duke Nukem 3d everybody knows, there were Duke Nukem 1 & 2, shareware 2d-Jump´n´Runs by Apogee.
    And there, they shamelessy used graphics from Turrican!(copied from the site)

                  The CD-ROM that contains duke3d also has 1 and 2 on it... I installed them and played them for about 2 minutes before I got bored.

                    That brings back fond memories ... my son used to be crazy about playing Duke Nukem on my old XT running DOS, which I gave him when I got my -- wow! -- 386. The little guy knew DOS commands before he could read
