He was sane when he did it, he was sane when he was convicted and he will be sane when he gets justice. We ask only for his life in exchange for the one he took when he was SANE. No more no less. Its fair ...... not pretty but its fair.

maybe they should force them to take the drugs anyways then try to find out if the murder would have been commited if the con was "sane"

Seems like it is more like:

" he was INSANE when he did it ..."

Seems like ' making him sane " for the execution is just for good-show... Just pretend he is sane at that point...

The example in the article involved someone that was deemed sane at the time of the murder yet became insane while in prison. In that case he should still face death if thats what his sentance was.

As a " liberal pussy... lol " , I am against the death penalty. But if it is law in that State, and he commited the crime and was convicted while sane, I don't even see why the State would need him to be sane to execute him.

If convicted, what would you choose ( what a perspective...):

In some states the prisoner is given a choice, which can include a firing squad (in Utah), a gas chamber or hanging.

Exactly - they were not sane when they committed the crime.

I am on the fence when it comes to this. I don't feel like digging up any supporting stats right now but from what I understand they have been discovering a lot of innocent people on death row.

Of course this is utilizing modern day forensics on these cold cases. But still. Can you imagine being put to death as an innocent person?

I think they should be allowed appeals but only a certain amount. The system is flooded as it is but before we "take em out back and shoot em" we better be 100% sure they did the crime.

i think death row is a bunch of bullshit, if they sentence you to death, they should take you from the court house to the chair and get it over right then and there
