    Drunk Smokers??

I've been smoking drunk for about 6 years now.

I've never had a cigarette sober. I refuse cigs until I'm "ready" aka had enough alcohol.

Most people say "that's how it starts" but I consider myself lucky to never have crossed over into smoking all the time.

    Anyone else like this?

Those first few puffs while drunk enhance my buzz so much that I can't resist.

If I quit drinking......I could quit smoking drunk.....but that first step isn't going to happen.

        perhaps it's because I'm drunk now......but I don't understand what you're saying.

I think my brain just associates being drunk with the need for nictoine. So sober I never have the urge for a cig.......as soon as I consume enough alcohol I must get the same need that regular all day smokers get....

but this "need" changes....if I'm with a bunch of friends who don't smoke.....I might bum one from a stranger at the end of the night.....but if I'm with a group of friends who all smoke like fiends....I see them smoking every few minutes and it reminds me of the additional pleasure nicotine provides while I'm drinking....hence I smoke more, even to the point of buying a pack (which I rarely do)

I'm an ex smoker that spent the past 3 years lapsing when drunk.. I find myself drinking to that limit where you cross from where you are sober to being a bit drunk, like whemn the speech starts to slur and everything slows down.. thats the time I want to spark up a fag

for me I find smoking weed can help get rid of the nicotine craving

Weed just leads me to junk food, then straight to bed......

I thought about buying that over the counter nicotine gum....so that I could pop one of those when I'm drinking.

Anyone ever use that Nicorette gum.....does a piece of gum with 2mg of Nicotine feel the same as smoking a cig?

The gum won't give you a buzz. The buzz you get from a cigarette, if you're not a regular smoker, is from the lack of oxygen, and the thousand other checmicals in a cigarette that aren't in the gum.

Besides, the gum is so expensive, it's cheaper to get a pack of cigs.

meh, i have a smoke now and then if i've had a few drinks to enchance the effect, i never smoke normallym, so smoking after a few drinks gives a o.k. buzz, doubt this would apply to a regular smoker... light up a cuban now and then also
