Thanks but the heck with Bosley. I ain't havin' no sawbones pluckin' my dome. It's like 'Frankenstein Cosmetics' or something.
All these tax dollars goin' to med school financial aid all these years and the best they can do is have some guy with tweezers and a drill pluck scalp and stick it back in?
go to a dermatologist..
if its in small areas they can inject cortisone into your scalp

Propecia works pretty well at keeping what you have. And if you're lucky, you'll see a bit of regrowth. I get mine from a foreign pharmacy to save money.

Thanks,
There's herbal stuff like Avacor that make a lotta claims and is still on the air but I'll have to check consumer reports.
I've been seeing those Rogaine commercials for like 10 years or more... it must work, no?
Nope it doesn't work. I have known a number pf men try it and it worked for no one.
I once asked my doctor about rogaine and propecia.
He said, "there are five bald doctors in this practice, if this stuff worked don't you think we would be using it ?"
Just keep it short, like buzzed or shaved smooth.
Rogaine etc doesn't work for a lotta people.
Implants etc are a nightmare and will leave hundreds of scars when you decide to shave it.

Yeah, I heard that too.
And when I was home in Norway this weekend, my grandmother said my hair was thinning on the sites. My mothers father is bald.
Oh happy day....

True, but that's why God invented Viagra. I'm in my 20's and I have more hair than most women. I want to keep it that way, and Propecia is the best med at this point.
Dude, I have a major receding hair line - fucking started when I was 16 and I'm 21 now! I'll be bald by time I'm 30, so I hope they come up with a cure fast!

Being a woman who likes sexy hair on a guy - i think its a good investment .. but dont feel bad if you do the nude nut thing.. there are some hot guys around who pull off bald heads (bruce willis etc)
I started thinning when I got first got sick about 3 years ago... they don't know what the problem is so they label it CFS, FMS, or maybe Lupus. Doctors..<sigh>
Anyway I noticed that I would get a dime-sized fungal infection on my arm once in awhile... I guess because my immune system is so busy attacking all this other stuff going on in me, that trivial stuff like a fungal infection on the skin would get past their defenses....
So that got me to thinking... I know our hair/skin is loaded with bacteria and other creepy crawlies all day long - even when you are in perfect health.
But when your immune function is lowered the the counts of these bacteria and bugs are allowed to go up.
A normal, healthy immunue system can keep these baddies in check.
So I investigated this a bit and found out there are these little microscopic worm-like bugs called demodex mites that live on our heads and love to pack themselves in our hair follicles.
I think its thought that after they take over a folicle for a certain period of time, that folicle won't produce normal healthy hair any longer.
So here's a question for all you thinners and baldies out there....
When you first started losing your hair did you have an itchy scalp? Maybe a little mild dandruff? Or other skin problems that you didn't have before?
Also.. I think if you start shaving your head, you lose more hair faster?
Because your head will still produce the oils for your hair (even though its not there.. you shaved it)
So if your thinning is being caused by those demodex mites - mites that feed off those sebaceous oils.. now more and more of the folicles will get clogged with this extra oil providing more nutrient filled folicles for the demodex to invade.

this is why NIOXIN is such a cool product. it deep cleanses the scalp, plus it has lots of nutrients.
i used to be a hairdresser. i've seen nioxin grow hair on many heads. it's all natural and has no side effects. this shit works.
