Well I also don't know much, but I do know this:
I have a network of sites that has been heavily spidered starting 2 months ago and it is not in the index yet. My sites that are in there are still showing caches from about 2-3 months ago.

my stats show that google has been active all week. some of my sites get spidered a few times each week, and this week is no exception.
i have noticed a delay in new pages being added to the index, but updated older pages seem to be listed within a week.Comment

WOAH GOOGLE IS DOING SOME WEIRD SHIT!
THis thread made me go check and it cached a bunch of my pages yesterday. But it only got PARTS OF THEM!
links are cut off in the middle like it just stopped indexing the page.
Very very strange. And for a while it was updating the cache of a few of my pages daily. Now its every few days and its only caching part of them.

if you've been covering slashot, they've been complaining about the smae thing too. not only that, it's been doing some other weird shit lately. apparently, it hasn't been doing deep crawls for a long time, due to the fact it hauls up a lot of spam etc, apparently 20-35% of stuff on google is spam.Comment
