they gave Vanderjackoff another shot at the kick for calling Simeon Rice for Unsportsmanlike Conduct, for landing on someone, or jumping up on someone in an attempt to block the field goal attempt...............he landed on no one

Perfectly legal call. It is in the rule book. He was a yard back and was obviously trying to gain an advantage by boosting himself.
On a serious note, yes it is rather humorous, nonetheless:
For Vanderjagt being so good at kicking he sure was fucking nervous for those two kicks. The first one shanked right, the second was a stroke of luck.

yeah..........that call reminded me of the call against the Giants last year..........in the playoff game against the Niners.......an obvious pass interference call when the lineman was pulled down on the botched field goal

rice didn't use anyone to jump. it was very clear looking at the replays. big time blown call that cost tampa the game. sucks to see a game end like that.Comment

Can any play in history match that? umm how about in the first half where the ref reversed the call after seeing the replay on the big screen? That cost the colts the ball and 7 points. I don't think you guys realize what the call was, it wasn't about pushing up or off one of his teammates. It was something about lining up too close and landing on one of his teammates, which he clearly did.Comment

Tampon Bay deserved to lose, flat out. You don't blow leads like that. What would have ruined the game and the memory of if it, had the bucs won after blowing it.
We would not have witnessed NFL history had they won. We would not have seen the amazing had they won. I am very satisfied. and the call was crazy, but it made the game more unbelieveable. Awesome shit, that i was glad to see. Bad call or not.

what Simeon Rice did was not touch ANYONE........he also didn't "land" on anyone........what he did a lineman is supposed to do on a field goal attempt..........get up in the air, UNAIDED by any other teammate, and put your hands in the air to attempt to block the kick.........
I agree with everyone............the Buc defense folded like a Madonna's flapping splashguard vulva.........and they probably would have got the ball back then, and did nothing on offense, and its likely the Colts would have still won..........
but those are all woulda, coulda, shoulda's thanks to the incredibly poor reffing...............rule #1 of officiating..........don't create an outcome of a game.........try and stay out of the way.....
the fact that was called on Rice was insane
