Need help final testing new software for dating, escort and webcam sites...

This is our first big adult project and we've just almost finished this new software that we've been working on for a little while now and I want a little help final testing it and to hear what you guys all think. The software makes it possible to advertise a dating/webcam/escort site via tgp, banner, email, however you typically do, only with our new software all the girls that are "interested" in your visitor now seemingly live in and around the city that your visitor is from.

How this works:
Our software converts your visitors ip address into latitude and longitude, and then into a city and state. Then our software instantly checks our database that we've built-up with a couple thousand cities and it finds the closest cities to your user along with the area codes for each city.

Result:
The user sees gorgeous girls that seemingly all live within just miles of him, and all have phone numbers with area codes he recognizes, amazing conversions.

We've tested it all week but everyone on GFY is scattered across the US and this makes for a great final testing place, so check out the link, it'll show you 5 girls, then post the city it said the top girl was from and how well it worked.

i live in canada NS and the site shows me girls from Miami and San Diego. Iwouldnt say thats miles away from home.

If it cannot grab your location, ie. out of the USA for example (Canada) or if your location cannot be determined with-in a close enough range it will show you default cities, and everything is completely randomized, the girls will soon rotate as well with different girls just to make it more interesting.

Yea, we have a better city/state engine that has more ip blocks listed in it, there are ones that are just rediculous, the one that you're looking at now on the test site does colleges 100% and usually gets about 8 out of 10 of the surfers down to a 25mile radius of where they live...

It think i see your problem you are going off where my ip's owner address is registered wich is Virginia.

That will not work.

Worked great here I'm from pennsylvania and my ISP is local to pennsylvania.

The first girl it listed looks like she's only within a 30 minute drive from me.

You can get better engines, but compared to a static page, its a big big jump and works really well for most locations, to anyone who icqed me, i missed it as my icq crashed, one i remember in particular was from "woj", sorry, just drop me another icq or leave your number, im heading home for the night...

The problem with this software is it just traces back to the server, which adelphia's is located in Pennsylvania...

I am on adelphia and I get an area code like this:

Name: Amanda - Coudersport, Pennsylvania
Age: 21 years old
Phone: 717-772-XXXX (members only)

And I live in Washington state, so I think the software should stick with a basic knowledgebase of where the ip first connects to from the users machine (EG: PNAP)

And another thing, "Photos: 5 total, 3 nude," to me that isn't believable at all... that is basically saying that anyone close to her gets to see it all by becoming a member, I wouldn't go for it... but hey, people are dumb and may go for it... :P

the test site doesnt do out of country, if you're out of country it defaults to showing you a random selection, which shows the girls scattered across the country in main cities. our full version does international and has the country breakdown. thanks for all the input, throw out what would make it better too, and tell me if you think one or two of the girls having your same ISP in her email address would be worth it.

I like it but most will get turned off to it once they hit the bugs. Make sure the bugs are out before a big launch of marketing.
