You can take the smaller part of the middle of a cdrom, and have it made about the size of a small card that will fit into a cd-rom drive. Of course it can't hold as much, but they are smaller. They have to be specially made that way, you can't just do it with a knife. I've seen them before though, they look pretty neat. I know it is not to going impress most girls just handing them a card.
