heres a lil late night debate | african americans

ok jus got in a debate w/ someone i know online...

the african american culture started with slavery, that was the basis of their culture, obviously a pretty negative thing.

now what i believe, is that due to african americans being enslaved initially, the current african american society is at such a high crime rate and over all high negative statistics mainly because of their culture's history..

now he disagrees... and believes that if for example jewish people, or any other race, were enslaved like that (including whites), that that same race in presant day would be fine and would have been able to bounce back easily and understand that whatever happened in the past, is over.

i disagree with that, i think if a culture like the african american's have been exposed to the media, and history of their initial culture, for years on end, that of course it'll affect their culture in a negative way, providing reason for their current cultural status.

what do you guys think?? is it because of their past, or is it because african american's are genetically different.

slavery didn't start 400 years ago.....it started out 1000's of years ago yet all those different cultures found a way to succeed and fail.

rich or poor doesn't matter on skin color......it matters on the individuals motivation in life

genetically different. Africans in general are just not a very engineering people.

Its not like most of our white ancenstor immigrants came here to streets paved with gold. They worked several hours a day in unsafe factories where guys died like crazy. No unions, no child labor laws. Many companies put signs on their business like "no irish hired".

I think the way to explain racism in this country is its a money making industry. Also blacks have been used as a pawn by the left. The jewish media have crafted a nice fairy tale in the media over the years on how blacks have the market cornerd on racism, oppression, suffering, etc.

An excellent hollywood production. Most whites cant even look black people in the face because we have been so conditioned to feeling guilty about being white and have a fear of being called a racist.

Ever notice that pretty much everything added to the Constitution after the original was a mistake.

Yep, the media (Jewish as you say) try to make it out as if Whites of the past were lazy devils. They teach you on tv and in the movies that White men (of today and the past) are oppressive, lazy, racist, sexist, etc etc.

Furthermore, they will attempt to blame everyone's fallacies on the White middle class male. The reason blacks don't achieve in the US is because of slavery, the reason they don't achieve in Europe if because of racism, the reason they don't achieve in Africa (even in the example of South Africa and Zimbabwe) is purely because of colonisation.

Of course it does not end there. Feminist will blame female crime on male aggression, etc etc. African-American studies at University in America teaches you about African heritage and culture. Asian studies will teach you about Asian culture and heritage. The newly created 'White Studies' (an actual Uni course) on the other hand teaches students about White racism, sexism, and how 'the White race is inherently privileged because they have White skin.'

Speaking as a black male, I say FUCK AFFIRMATIVE ACTION, also. I might not be a typical black male, though. I went to a school in Louisiana for gifted and talented kids.... I'm a member of the Dallas chapter of Mensa......I married a white lady.....and have 6 half white kids. My mom wasn't a welfare case (although she was a single parent). She has a masters degree in education and my sister is working on hers. I believe the African American culture as a whole should stop living in the past and do what's right for themselves now and in the future. Did Martin Luther King, Jr. just sit around and collect food stamps? Did Farrakhan? Nope. So, let's stop pointing the finger at other races and point the finger back at ourselves and motivate ourselves to achieve more.

You retards cannot compare penal slavery from Europe to American style slavery.

We tried to enslave the natives first. It failed miserably as they had an easy time escaping and blending in with the rest of the natives.

We attempted to use the Irish as slaves, but when one of them would escape they would blend into the population thus making it difficult to control them. We even tried indentured servitude of the British but the crown put the smackdown on the practice.

******s on the other hand dont blend in. They were easy to control.

As to why they are fucked up now that is a mere numbers game. Nigs dont commit more crime than whites. The UCR reports of type 1 and type 2 index crimes only reflect arrest data in most cases and the vast majority of rural areas (white) do not report accurately if even at all. One only need to look at the track record of the penal harm movement over the last 20 years to see the effects and the false assumptions it leads to. Massive self report studies show very little difference in frequency in type 1 and type 2 index crimes between blacks and whites. Basically, ******s get arrested more and it skews the data set and leads to the false assumption that ******s commit more crime.

Statistics based on arrest data are flawed beyond comprehension.

And that is not even touching on the effects of the deindustrialization of many urban centers and the subsequent effects of white flight. Basically you set the ******s free and then when they moved into your cities you haul ass taking industry with you. Leaving horridly poor and uneducated post slavery communities to defend for themselves. But hey, that was like 2 generations ago, get over it you lazy fuckers.

Scholarly work regarding the post-reconstruction status of blacks in the South is accessible, quick and easy to read. Quite a few people, particularily Americans, have modern political agendas to promote in the popular media--both black and white.

As a result, people hold on to what it is they "THINK" they "KNOW," and what the popular media, generally decades behind scholars, tells them in tasty sound bites fit for masses to BELIEVE about slavery in the United States:
the supposed physical brutality (counter productive),

The use of skin-color as culture is quite amusing. Nice that things are so monolithic. Makes it easy digestion for the hungry masses.

For those who won't read the stuff...
If you want to look at quite a few of the modern problems:
1.) Reconstruction after the Civil War, and specifically the "Battle of the Lost Cause," in the South
that explain the current political status of blacks versus other ethnic groups. Trace and study the protection given to black citizens in the U.S. from 1890s to 1960s. Pretty aybsimal...more effect after slavery than the pyschological impact slavery itself.

So, forget that "all people were enslaved bullshit."
