For all of you that were talking shit when I started this poker thing a couple of months ago I just wanted to say that I now make more playing poker than I do in adult.

If you have half a brain and want to make some extra cash read up on Texas Holdem. Learn the game, learn the odds, and look at it like a job. I've been making money for months but I'm improving my game even more every day. If your sick of submitting galleries to get by you should check it out. What stakes are you playing? It seems like unless you play for more than 10 a hand people play like loosey goosey retards online.

Ive been playing sit and go's on Ultimate Bet and doing pretty well. I seem to do better with those since there is a set time limit, I cant go on tilt ;)

I haven't mastered NL yet although I'm pretty decent at it. I make a killing at the limit tables and I don't even have to play for high stakes to do it.

I play anywhere from $2/$4 to $15/$30 which is the max on Pacific. The loosey goosey retards is where I make my money though. ;) Yes they can get frustrating drawing out on you to the river but if you sit down with intentions to play for a decent amount of time it all comes around.

By the way, my favorite stakes are $5/$10.

brandon, what is your nick on UB?

Stock....Ive only been playing no limit on UB, I kept losing playing limit on UB. What is your secret? It seems like people playing lower stakes limit will call anything, or I get in a room with fuckers that raise preflop EVERY hand and then win with two crappy pair or something. No one seems to respect a raise like they do when you play in person.

I'm not really sure my secret is a secret. I'm a numbers freak and I play the percentages. I get beat by idiots just like the next guy but it always comes back to me 10 fold. I hardly ever raise my big hands anymore. I do alot of check calling until I hit big with a check raise on the turn. I only draw out when the pot odds agree with me and I play extremely tight for the most part. Boring as it can get sometimes it pays off.

Good to know I only learned how to play in July so Im definitely still learning. Im not good at figuring out my "outs" yet. I like playing in person better, I think being female actually helps. I chose a non gender specific name for playing online but maybe I should change that. Do you have a favorite poker book?

I do a good 100 average a day on pacific
Ive also won a 7k NL tourney on another poker site

NL is my specialty
limit is all about patience, have a set of hands to play and you'll always win in the long run. Of course ive been playing for along time now =)

I just got into holdem in June myself. It's been a nice second income since then and now I make more from poker than I do with my business.

I didn't read any books, just some online reading. What kind of problems are you having with your outs?

I'm not near as good with NL as I am limit. I can take a nice chunk of money from Pacific poker pretty much at will. I play live alot because I get bored of sitting behind the computer but I make much more when I play online mainly from the game being so much faster.

I play quite a bit on Pacific and I agree with stocktrader if you play tight and dont lose your head over some idiots lucky draw you can do well. I threw in like 50 a few weeks ago and I have pulled out around 250 just playing the 1/2 tables. I also only play at times I know are busy and only for like an hour or two at a time.

I haven't played at Paradise but I've heard good things about it. I play at Party but usually just the sit and go tourneys and I practice on NL there. From what I can tell it's a nice program with enough loose players to make some cash. I've just been stuck on Pacific because I have all my money in there.

Interesting, that would generally be considered a pretty passive style that would cost you bets and allow the nimrods to draw out on you more.....you find that style more profitabale than more traditional play?

On here the nimrods are going to try to draw out on you even through a raise. Raising the normal hands you should will make the pots bigger but it doesn't really shake anyone. It works the same but your swings are bigger. I do change my style depending on the table but I smooth call most hands and check call to the river. If I have a great shot at winning I check raise or bet out depending on position.

I dont know any of the proper Poker games, but after playing a home game of 5 Card Draw with my mates who take 10 fuckin' minutes to shuffle the fuckin' cards last night I cant stand the game. Maybe it's because I only won two of the hands. Where are my fuckin full houses dammit??
