    Modeling Contract Questions

    I have a friend that is being approached by a website company that is offering her a 1 year exclusive contract to model for them (NON-nude).

    They are saying they will pay her on a monthly salary versus per job. They are also asking her what she would want to get paid for something like this.

    Can anyone give me an indication as to what she should ask for?

    Also, they are wanting to host her site, do all the maintenance, host it, credit card processing, post the pics from the photoshoots for the low price of 50% of her monthly subscriptions.

    Does anyone else think this is high or just me?

      It should be spelled out how many shoots a month she will be required to do. And How much the pay will be for the month. I a legally binding contract. And if they are not real established I would want the first months pay up front... Have her ask for credit referances and ref. of other models that may have done it for them. Or you could just have her hold off signing the model release for the first month of photos until she is paid...

      The 50/50 is normal...

              Looks like he is backing down on the percentage, he says he was joking about the 50%. My guess is that he would have taken it if she said yes.

              Also he is talking about $500 worth of work to start non-exclusively but if it reached $2000 a month he would go exclusive.

              Doesn't seem like much to have an exclusive 1 year contract, does it?
