I love my Shepard. He protects my 6 year old. I always know where my son is because the dog is sitting in the front yard of the house he is playing at.
I love my two dobermans because they are super kind but protect my house from any bad guys.
My Chinese Crested is usless for protection, or babysitting, but he is riot to look at and watch run around playing with my dobermans.Comment

Definitely beagles. They are extremely loyal and great with kids. Their only downfalls are they love to roam/explore so they constantly escape and they are perhaps the biggest pussy dogs on the planet. My old beagle came running home yelping one afternoon with a weiner dog chasing after him.
