also the Divx codecs may be needed had this problem myself a few days ago and that fixed it

Didnt know that.
Thought DIVX is proprietary and that company is to busy strangling and isolating itself. Buildin something Compatible with WMP would be a threat to there player.

Search to find 2 files called mcdsmpeg.ax and mcspmpeg.ax then change them to mcdsmpeg.old and mcspmpeg.old.

Happens when you load certain editing files on your pc.

- Open a Command Prompt window and change to the folder where the above files are located
do them one at a time
1) regsvr32 /u mcdsmpeg.ax
2) regsvr32 /u mcspmpeg.ax

Yeah, also, Kazaa-lite has some really good codecs out there, http://www.kazaa-lite.tk. I loaded them up with no problems - remember these guys are the people that hacked kazaa and took out the spyware... so don't worry about getting viruses or anything
