Sometime inbetween pic posts and tgps I took a break and missed how they lost popularity and tgps took over and have dominated.

A combination of greed and natural progress. If some guy has a site with links to single pics, another has one with links to galleries with 16 pics, and a third has a site with nice thumbnail previews of galleries then the latter will score the most surfer points. -

A little off topic but... what would be the downfall of TGP? Since Picpost and CJ has waned in popularity (at least in their classic/standard forms), what trends would need to arise that would mark the decline of TGP?Comment

I submit to three pic post that still have good traffic and they do allright. It only takes about 10+ min to submit 3-5 pics so it evens out in the end!

Ran pic post for long time, the same pics over and over and over from 1975 being posted, all sites had popups, and crap sites that tried to steal all the traffic,
and lots of entries from illegal sites (and pics), and with the new 2257 stuff most said no way am I hosting this crap, and I took that route as well, if i was in Canada or something I might still have it running though, had good bookmark baseComment
