the album that influenced what i write and play the most of all time is frank zappa's hot rats. the singer on willie the pimp is captain beefheart, which led me to trout mask replica, his weird free-from masterpiece which fz produced.

these days i find myself appreciating absolutely free more than hot rats - the music has a fuller, more modern sound, but i always have a copy of both
