If you don't know who is representing what, then how do you know what the fuck is going on here? If you're still on dialup you're missing exposure to all kinds of interesting shit... I used to surf other sites to find out what to promote -- now surfing GFY is even more important... Not only do you find out about new programs before anyone else, you can see strategies being used by people you would rarely ever be exposed to otherwise just following your usual work habits and surfing within your network of bookmarks or whatever you do to stay current with what is going on in the industry... GFY with no sigs to me would be like watching TV with no pictures... My DSL here is only $25/month and the time it takes to load a sig is not even an issue... The only thing that keeps GFY from being faster I think is just the CGI backend/database engine stuff. Even if you don't have DSL you can get to GFY free from wireless networks around town, libraries and universities... I think its more like watching TV without the commercials, although personally I have sigs turned on to see who runs what and who promotes what, certainly puts their opinions and posts in a different light. If someone is saying something great about program X and has X banner in their sig, makes you wonder
