No doubt you haven't spent much time in California, or really looked at the quality of life in Louisiana lately.
I've lived in both, and its amazing how people in the south think its so crazy expensive to live in california, among other things.
Its really not much more expensive, especially if you have the same standards of living. But in the south they would have you believe it doesn't get any better than there, and it does.
The greatest advancement in Louisiana is their welfare debit cards. Nothing greater than a welfare recipient receiving welfare too advanced for them to use without directions.
