Yeah unless its a content license issue.. no sponsor will really care. If you want to burn your bandwidth instead of theirs...
I've done some of this myself.. tweaked the galleries for better results etc.. but its not the most productive work.Comment

Some sponsors specifically state that you cannot host the galleries on your server. As far as I am concerned, as long as you are using the content to promote our sites, you are welcome to host it on your own server. Most likely, if a sponsor does not allow this, it is some kind of content licensing issue.

the answer will vary from one program to the other, with the most important issue being what kinda license they have for the content.

It all depends on the sponsers, some sponsers don't allow it because of their content license they have. But others do allow it!
