    anyone seen this before?

when i reboot and go into outlook, all my server settings have been changed.

the incoming mail (pop3) is changed to "localhost"

the account name is changed to <my real account name>/<pop3 setting>

    example:

    ----------------------------------------------
    incoming mail (pop3) white.oxeo.com
    outgoing mail (smtp) white.oxeo.com

    incoming mail server
    account name : natas
    password : *****
    ----------------------------------------------

    gets changed to --------->

    ----------------------------------------------
    incoming mail (pop3) localhost
    outgoing mail (smtp) white.oxeo.com

    incoming mail server
    account name : natas/white.oxeo.com
    password : *****
    ----------------------------------------------

never seen this before - what gives anyone?

thanks, sure had my goddamn fill of computer problems today

as a matter of fact I did see this happen many many times

Did you recently install an Anti-Virus ? Maybe..Norton AV ? I know this software does exactly what you described. It changes many settings, which also include re-setting Outlook to localhost.

              tell me if this helped!

              cheers

I know it's not PC-Chillan because that's what I have. I remember having this problem with a certain networking add on, but don't quite remember. Let me think about this for a sec!
