    Question on what I should do with Mike AI

    If you would have read my post, it was directed to what Python did to SURFERS not to webmasters. Obviously they pay their webmasters on time, hence why they get some pandering and kissing ass on the boards!

    Webmasters who see the big picture understand what is really going on.... But most keep their mouth's shut and do not rock the boat. Something I never was to good at doing.

    Python is doing crummy things that reflect back on the whole indsutry. They are part of the Cockholster Cabal that is killing the golden goose.

    Should I have him apologize to (and KB and Python) like the guy who was pretending to me or like Brad Shaw who was unfairly fooled by that guy, or what?

    He called me a current meth user which is a untrue. Given that I have not used in over 24 months (very proud of that), I, my business and employees feel defamed. Given that we have been damaged because people will not now do business with someone who does drugs (have email proof of damages), what should we do?

    Should he consider retracting his statement, apologizing (no shame in that), or should I sue him in California for defamation, 17200, contract interference, etc.(see http://www.sex.com/corporate/lawsuits/index.html). Mike AI should not say these things lightly without proof as we have been damaged, just like KB and Python was damaged.

    Any ideas on what myself and to a lesser extent KB and Python should do here?

                                      I would recommend letting Mike know that you were unhappy with his comment (this post certainly does that).. Hopefully Mike would apologize and you'd accept and put this to bed.

                                      "Gary don't you have some meth to do?"

                                      1) It's a question, not a statement of fact.

                                      2) You were in fact an admitted user in the past. (Congrats on staying clean)

                                      I know you like lawyers though, so I'm sure you're going to do whatever you're going to do. Mike has a law degree and I'm sure he's well aware of the law.

                                                                              Gary the webmaster boards often include some less-than-friendly banter of this type.
                                                                              My advice would be learn how to work it to your advantage and bring yourself more business from it, rather than getting bent out of shape and threatening to call your lawyer. Doing that makes you look like a thin-skinned whimp. That will cause you to lose more business than *any* comment made by anyone, because people will wonder if they do business with you and something doesn't go your way - will you handle it like a professional man or will you simply turn around and take legal action?

                                                                              However, if you can take the comment on the chin, handle it like a man and even make a joke out of it, you're likely to gain some business. Quite a few people do a ton of business from board pissing.

                                                                              Long story short - KC's post is right-on. You jumped into a board piss, don't be shocked that you got pissed on. It comes with the territory.

                                                                                                                                                                                                  Not trying to be mean, but I can't even understand 3/4 of that mess. It took me 3 reads to figure out there were actually 3 or more posts included. And even then- I'm still not sure what some of it means-
