most common reasons people have children:
- accident
probably the most common reason .. too lazy/irresponsible to use birth control.
- tradition
family/social pressure ..
not having kids isn't really even presented as an option.
- ego
the "look what I made/ I am god / extension of myself / immortality by proxy" selfish urge
but these are just conscious rationalizations of a hidden genetic agenda.
