IMHO, the best way to get the content you want is to shoot it yourself. If you can't do that, though, I suggest checking out what Ian has to offer. URL someone? (Sorry, I'm kinda not at my computer where I have all of my nifty URLs listed.)

It's REALLY easy to learn to use, but it's REALLY hard to learn to use WELL. The main thing is that it can't do really spectacular stuff on it's own. You'll have to learn how to do some stuff to the pics in Photoshop after they're rendered if you want to have the really good stuff.

I would sugest learning how to bring your mesh's into 3dmax and using some of the amazing plug ins in max to get some real skin tone and shadowing.

Maybe when I can afford 3DSMax. Poser at $249 is one thing, but 3DS is a little out of my price range at the moment.

I'm looking into other options, though. I think Lightwave and Carrara are less expensive. Might have to look into some of those options, soon, because even Poser 5's new Firefly renderer can't begin to compare with some of the higher end stuff.

I tried Bryce, but the colors always looked washed out. I could never get the lighting right in Bryce.

WOW! I was just researching pricing and 3DS has come down in price! It's now around $500 like Lightwave. Hmm. Might have to save up and buy it now. :D
