Well I didn't start with zero, but when I turned on our first rack of recorded phone sex tape loop machines back in 1984, the day our first ad hit the newstands in LA, those fuckers all lit up like a christmas tree and never stopped playing.
I don't remember the exact timing but after a couple hours watching them clicking on continuously, my partner and I knew we'd just hit an oil gusher investment and went out for some beers to celebrate.

try doing that now, unless you have an in with the big tgp guys or buy spots its a long way to the top if you want to submit galleries. my success came with free sites in 98/99. it took me a while to figure out things but keep in mind i didn't even know html when i started messing around with adult sites. made a lot of mistakes like usiing free hosting, tho it wasn't bad in 98 but once i got the traffic and got on a dedicated server, i was making 10k/month. took me a few months to figure things out and get going i guess.Originally posted by Jamie

In 1996 I put up my first adult site. Yahoo had just started up and picked it up within a week and started sending 25,000 uniques a day. There weren't all the sponsors like there are now but VideoSecrets was good for a few thousand dollars a month. Then WebPower and CyberErotica started per-click programs. I was making about $1,000 a week from WebPower at 2 cents per-click and about $4,000 a month from CyberErotica (Fantasyman/CEcash).Comment
