I'm not a vegetarian, but I have been for several years. All the stuff about humans needing meat is bullshit. You can very easily replace all essentials with milk, eggs, cheese and nuts. (no, milk is not bad for you, despite what the peta-pussies say)
Benefits of being a vegetarian? You'll lose 10-20 pounds, have more energy, and have a better complexion. The main disadvantage is that if you're a vegetarian, building lots of muscle is very hard. Then again, you probably aren't a bodybuilder, right?
What you should NOT do is become a vegan (no milk/eggs/cheese either). It is close to impossible to create a healthy vegan diet.
