I don't think the world is gonna be safer any time soon.

Hard to say, if they had not gone to war, maybe there would have been even more attacks. All the military action has probably kept the terrorists off guard, but im not sure how many actual terror attacks its prevented.

I think it made America 10 times more likely to suffer another attack... now instead of a few pissed off people, there are millions.

If anything, all the US did was take that 1/3 of the world that doesn't like them and expanded upon it.

That doesn't do much to prevent terrorism.

You can not stop determind terrorists.
The war on terrorism is about as effective as the war on drugs. Millons, perhaps billions spent and any 14 year old in highschool can get dope.

Terrorists are the same way. Spend billions, invade 100s of countries, imprison thousands of suspects and they will still come.

But if you really want to the road map to safety here it is.

1)Facial recongntion software.

2)Huge databases of every criminal in the world. ( Include jay walkers)

3)DNA blood test for all foriegners entering your country.

4) Manditory satellite and electronic survalence of all people visiting the country.

5) Profile everyone and bar code anyone that is out of the norm.

6) Monitor all communications, watch for key words. Conduct random house to house searchs across the country.

7) Remove all classified ads from newspapers because they can conceal secret messages.

8)Don`t allow anyone to own a fire arm. For hunting purpose or otherwise.

9) Radom road blocks and check everyone`s identities.

10) Issue travel visas for citizens to commute within their own country.

11) On suspicion of possiable threat alllow people to be detained indefinately. Until such time as threat is deemed over.

12) Expand interogation techniques to include experimental drugs, use of torture on the suspects family and friends and even possiable surgery to force compliance.

13) Restructure the public`s thought process by removing "hostile words" from the dictionary. Words like revolution, insurection, hate and even love. Only words that promote loyalty to the state are acceptable.

14) Snitch lines with prizes and rewards for people turning in un-desirables.

15) Determine who gets to parent offspring. Then seperate all children from parents at birth.

16) All children must attend maditory military schools.

17) Destroy all lititure and art that is profane, obscene or promotes un-desireable ideals.

18) Bi-yearly "citizenship" classes. Test include why being a citizen of this country is better than any other.

19) Use the media to profile those that don`t conform. Televise prison trials and create weekly movie specials on executions.

20) Give law enforcement discreationary powers to render criminal judgement and sentencing for crimes in progress.

Do all of this and the terrorists of the world will lose. Citizens will at last be able to sleep comfortable that they are safe. They won`t be free but at least they will be safe.
