Fuck my Furnace Room is CREEEPY!!

This is an old old house, and the furnace room is actually the old dugout root cellar. The floor is all dirt, and the wall on one side is just dug out, and it's dark (there's no light), and every step you take you get assulated with spider webs. It's actually a deep room, so the light from the flashlight doesn't reach to the back of the room. It's got that old style horror movie creep that just gives you the heebie jeebies. And I'm not a scared person by nature. I just keep thinking that room would be the ultimate to bury a dead body, it feels like you could trip over a bone or something... I'm waiting for the oil guy to come and check out the tank. I think I'll just leave the door open and let HIM investigate further.

Anyways, just figured I'd share that..

odds are, your house is haunted. Sorry to scare you but old houses are usually haunted.
My aunt and uncle live in an old farm house, and their basement is similar to what you described. The house was built in the mid 1800's and just driving up the long driveway gives me chills.

The last house I was in had, IMHO, a creepy attic. I lived there for over 5 years and NEVER went in it. I don't know why I thought it was creepy since I'd never even seen it, lol!

Open the furnace and look inside. If you find a gloves with blades attached to the fingers, get out. And never go to sleep again.

That doesn't bother me... Being Wiccan I have no problem with that kind of thing at all. This house isn't even originally from here. .It was built in Toronto and moved here like 5 years later. This house has been all kinds of things to all kinds of people, it's got the old plaster walls (WhiCH I LOVE, they keep the house cold in the summer and warm in the winter), and the unusual architecture. It's got personality.. it's not PERFECT, but I like it.

No, but the oil tank is down there.. We're buying oil now before the price of oil skyrockets.

sounds pretty creepy. everytime we move or buy a new house, we make sure that we know the history of the house and the occupants as well. this will remove the fear factor in our minds. i hope you did the same as well.

Go down there with night vision goggles like in Silence of the Lambs. That should make for a good time.
