    whois details bullshit

ya know it's funny, I was mailbombed ( and I mean bombed) last week from an affilliate who thought for some reason he could just spam ...

of course we canned the account of the affiliate straight away, and rightly so, one of our hosts that related to that site candid hosting were not happy with the spam complaints (and rightly so)...

by the way Candid are good hosts...

anyway, back to the story, I had a phonecall from Germany at 4am in the morning from an irate consumer being spammed.

To add insult to injury, this same guy said he was going to report me to ICANN, and he did,... I was asked to provide proof of everything, including everything except when I had my last bathroom visit, and the main complaint was my whois phone number was wrong.. WFT ! ! ! !

anyway, my main problem is, why am I forced to provide a contact phone number with my current registrar when, after looking around, that one other registrar, Joker.com does not provide any phone details for their customers...

I'm pissed.. I'm forced to take phone calls from nutcases in the middle of the night including in the past the FBI looking for some users ip address,

all this and people like spamcop.net, who got me into this fucking mess don't have to provide a valid phone contact ...

this is all fucked up ! ICANN have different rules for different people...

    https://joker.com/index.joker?t_whoi...hois&Submit=go

look.. no phone number there .. and it's required

    I'm pissed off

well, that's all fine as a quote from an action movie, but in the real world ICANN shouldn't make those distictions....

I know I'm on my soapbox, but it's really unfair, and I'm complaining and it affect all of you guys too,
