Yeah, some programs do hire women just for the eye candy factor, but who is responsible for that? The man that hired her, that's who- he thinks so little of his customers that he believes their business practices can be swayed by a pair of tits. Shame!

There are plenty of hardworking & successful women in this industry, who manage to succeed regardless of their aesthetic 'value'. Not all of the women in the business work for others either. Some of us actually do the hiring

As one of these successful women, I have no time for bimbos, nor the people who try to thrust them upon me. Don't you guys DARE try to lump all women in this industry together. We work harder, smarter, with more ethics and less bullshit.

Maybe the first guy who mentioned "no girls" was talking about the girls hired to climb all over each other and sign autographs.

My complaint about Internext is that I'm tired of companies promoting programs that aren't even ready. When I get the information and I'm ready to promote, I want the program to actually exist. I live in Las Vegas, so when I find something at the convention that I like, I want to be able to drive back home and work on it that day. I don't go the parties, as I have no desire to get drunk with anyone. This is all about business for me.

People are shallow. You have been in this business for 5 years and I don't have a fucking clue who you are so perhaps I am just as shallow as the next guy. It's human nature for the attractive people's names and faces to stick with you. I may know you but I don't know you by the screen name you are posting under.

If people do not have their looks to go by then they must rely on other traits.

7 of the 15 people on that list I can not match a face and/or company to their names.

Politically right or wrong...It is fact.

I just met Sarah from Slickcash and Erin from AEBN for the first time. Both of them are cute and I will not soon forget them.

It really is frustrating to constantly be presumed to be an airhead, or worse- content. I cant tell you how many of the 'professional' male webmasters ask for pics within minutes of an icq introduction. We must constantly double check everything that we do & say, lest our credibility be undermined by a skirt that's a little too short.

I met several good people at this show, and I think that these smaller shows do a decent job of WEEDing out the bullshit. like you say, going to shows is not cheap, and if it is done solely as an entertainment pourpous and that is the only desired goal . then by attending these shows you are wasting time and money (both yours, and the sponsors, and the person whom you may be talking with that is there to do some biz)

with that said, I agree that shows do have some people there that could care less about doing any business at all. they are just there for the free booze, and hoping to see some upskirts, that they can take pics of to make them selves look bigger than they really are. Hoewever most of these people are discovered in time anyway.

I've been going to these things since before 99% of you even know the adult internet existed. With that said my outlook on any adult webmaster gathering is to go there, party like a motherfucker, be cool to people, feel out other people (see if they are cool, skeezy, bullshitters, shittalkers, etc)...

WHEN YOU GET BACK FROM THE CONVENTION you will know who is cool to do biz with and who you think are schmucks... You will usually know this after looking someone in the eye, or seeing their true colors.

It's all about AFTER the convention... Nobody wants to solidify big deals when they're all coked up in a stripclub, wait till they're back at home in work mode. Leave a good impression with them and they'll remember who you are.

Also when I told ya I was not interested you did not continue to push and push and ask for traffic and so forth. The one thing that bumms me out more than anythign at shows is people who come up to you try to sell ya something and you say no does not work for me then they say send me traffic. And i say give me money and they look at you like your nuts. A lot of people think you should give them free traffic to help them get started in the BIZ.

I have been thinking , the way the business is set up encourages bs . People dont use their real names and dont want anyone to know them . I was talking to someone reccomended asking for id on everyone thru the door at conventions and they said alot of people wont like that , they would have to let people know who they really are. Until the business grows up like real names and phone numbers I think the bullshit will be the norm.
