While I hate to agree to this, in some cases it is true, however, looks will only get you so far. If you're hot and don't know squat about the program you're pushing you're not going to last as money does talking. The women in our office know their stuff if not we wouldn't have two successful programs.
*note, the same could be said for any industry where you are in the public, you don't see too many ugly wait staff serving you, you don't see many receptionists with no teeth, basing someone's ability to perform on their looks can backfire, if you don't know what you're doing then the company is going to suffer.
And about partying in the evenings, I try to do all my business during the day where people are fresh and sober, it is kind of difficult to take someone seriously when you or they are all trashed at a club and can't hear what the other person is saying over the music.
