It's not dead cus people are still buying porn online searching our TGP sites, but look long and ask yourself would you pay 20,30 or 40 bucks a month to look at content when you see what is for free ??Comment

Fly - don't know if anyone has suggested this because I haven't read to the end of the thread yet but TGP has at least two good purposes.
Sales are easy if you have half a clue and a relatively new site and TGP is a quick way to get traffic into a network of sites and fpas and other sales gimmicks - you just have to get the surfer interested in stepping off your gallery.Left intentionally blank ... just like my brainComment

it's not really that much of a time investment if you only accept paid and partner submissionsOriginally posted by TheFLY
TGP takes a huge daily time investment and commitment. Your entire source of income depends on the fact that you look through bazillions of shitty pictures only to post the ABSOLUTELY most sexy girls you can find -- EVERY DAY... If you don't keep these guys happy every day they will go somewhere else. MGP is a better time investment, but requires even more work -- now you have to update thumbnails every day from the movies -- find the movies, chop them up, on top of what you would do with a TGP already. I think MGP's will soon figure out they don't need galleries at all since the main attraction is the daily rotation (hence a site like OTBM) --

Couldn't have said it better myself. I make GOOD $$ off premium AVS type sites. No need to overlook this money making venture.Originally posted by Holly
I disagree on the AVS part for two main reasons. Number one, you seem to be going on the assumption that all AVS?s are going to shut down. I think that?s yet to be determined. Sure, some smaller ones already have, and I suspect more will soon, but I haven?t seen anything definitive that says they?ll all go. And if they don?t, IMO (and a lot of others?) they?re an extremely good option, as opposed to paysites. You mentioned the hassle of tgp updates, sorting through pics, etc. Unless you?ve got a team of people doing it for you, then a paysite is going to be a lot of the same. You have to constantly have fresh, quality content or no one is going to rebill. I think that would be a lot more time consuming than AVS sites. You also don?t have to fork out the dough for the feeds, movies, chat, plat/premium content, etc. that your member gets. The AVS handles all that. You just send the traffic, sell the pass, and collect the rebills. I think it?s a very good deal, considering you don?t have any of the expense and pressure that paysite owners do. If you want to go out of town for a week - or a month- you don?t have to call a soul, tell anyone, or send out a single email. I doubt I could do that with paysites. Plus, I know more people with paysites who?ve been screwed and lost their ass in the last month with the CC deal, than I do AVS webmasters.
Number two- you like the idea of free sites for experience and long term traffic. Well guess what? If all those AVS?s go belly up, take your script off, rearrange your banners and layout a little bit, and- voilà ! You?ve got a free site. And it already has PR, bookmarkers, SE listings, and is hooked up on a hub. Just resubmit to some link lists as ?free? instead of ?AVS?.
AVS hasn?t been way up on my list lately, but I don?t think they?re any worse off than anybody else right now. I think the VISA shaft is pretty much being equally distributed. I?ve been trying to do better with galleries, tgps, etc., just so if any one area goes bust, hopefully I?ll be able to get by with some of the others.

AVS is fine if you like to be somebody's bitch. If you don't care about the AVS traffic then why not just do it right and get a merchant account... If you're an AVS traffic bitch, they could cut you off whenever they wanted to -- and your entire strategy is worth shit -- besides the AVS's have so many silly rules like "no links to other sites" -- the AVS's really are against innovation -- all they want is for you to add to their content/traffic base so they can basically use you like a stupid bitch, the same way a TGP uses bitch ass gallery posters...Comment

I agree completely with your AVS comments: in fact these days with the majority, unless you are talking only about sites listed as new, chances are you are sending more traffic to the AVS than they are returning to you. Unfortunately, when business got tougher, they all started looking for a bigger piece of the pie, instead of figuring how to make the pie bigger for everyone.Originally posted by TheFLY

I don't think you can really compare them to TGPs, beyond the fact that both are trying to make some money for themselves. Sure TGPs have a lot of flaws: some more than others. But at least most of them actually do send you traffic.Comment

How many places deliver ANY traffic really?
You will get more quality or heck just traffic period, by being in an avs.. and the rules are not that difficult and the creation of an avs site is very easy.
If you think this biz is dead you are a retard.. I have seen a lot of programs kicking out a lot of webmasters and notice all the lame lower payout programs coming out?
You could apply your comments about being someone's bitch to this entire industry.. we are all VISA'S bitch..
Why do you think conversions are slipping everywhere? Because less transactions are getting thru.. this aint brain surgery.. processors are not gonna take riskier transactions..so less countries are now accepted etc..
You should treat this biz like there may be no tomorrow..because I wouldnt be surprised if there wasnt.. This plug could get pulled at any time..

If you disagree on any points -- just explain yourself....
The reason why TGP and CJ don't do well is because the traffic is BOGUS.
BULLSHIT.
A FUCKING LIE.
Get it?
If you go to MPGs and TGPs especially with the 'php' frenzy, NONE of the traffic is REAL anymore. Only a RARE FEW MPGs and TGPs get and send worthy traffic that the rest are sucking off of like biafran care package baby on a sun dried tit.
Put yourself in the surfer's position AND the traffic trading website meister who is expecting you to send them some REAL traffic.
Surfer goes to a site and clicks a link and Jesus H Christ On A Transformer's Crutch he's redirected, umpteen popups, forced dialers, traffic rush windows ( the biggest rip off as it sends a hit to the traffic trader's website but the window disintegrates leaving the surfer to click AGAIN and a real window pops up, destination unknown ).
It's bullshit because it's a rip off.
It's a fucking shame because some sites are generating the bullwork of the traffic with little if any bs hijacking, redirecting etc.
I've a mind to start my own ' safe ' list for surfers so they know where to go without getting bs'd.
So with AVSes it depends on which AVS and whom you work with at that AVS.
If the AVS model has a problem it's usually with some knuckleheaded webmaster or some over committeed bullshit.
Each AVS is different and the BEST indicator depends on how the staff responds to general subjects and problem solving. That's all! That's the best way to know a business you work with is a-okay: THEY NEVER GET ANGRY BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEIR SHIT.
Paysite? Paysite? We don' need no steenkin' paysite!
A paysite is a good investment and you don't have to kill yourself if you get the right tutiledge. Me, I tried paysite route as an experiment and it ROCKED but VISA fucked things up for my processor ( as with many of you ) and I refuse to tolerate their bs.
Yet, I can still go paysite when I wanna and since I don't have to buy content, ( I make my own ) my overhead is so low that only family and natural disasters have slowed me down ( just getting over these already )
Jeez, there're so many good tips out here and webmaster tutorials you don' t need to bake your brain. Just do a good honest job and you will do a-okay.Comment
