This is our fault. Whoever decided to actually make a permanent record of our american soldiers torturing the Iraq soldiers is the one responsible. Once those pictures surfaced, we lost respect from the rest of the world.

Bad unspeakable things happens, especially during war. Many of these things are later forgotten about or minimized. The child who was gang-raped in Okinawa is a good example. But, it was just an awful story that most people forgot about within six months. Had there been photographs of the rape, it would have been much worse. I am still in awe that our soldiers were so stupid to take pics. Even if they wanted to use the camera as an extra form of humiliation, it shouldn't have had film (or the pics should have been immediately erased, if digital).

I've never been to war and don't plan on it. I can't judge the soldiers for their torturous actions. No matter what, though, making a permanent record was STUPID. In this day and age with media and internet, they were bound to surface. Stupid, stupid...
