Because 1 and 2 have been definitively studied and there is not any convincing proof to indicate that either was any more than what they were claimed to be. Extraordinary claims demands extraordinary proof...speculation and conjecturre are not proof.

The question wasn't, do you think these conspiracies ARE true, but do you think they COULD be true.

I don't think there's much question that there's a possibility these conspiracy theories have an element of truth to them. But again, a remote possibility and a fact (or even a probability) are entirely different things.
