Other than copy other Ideas you are correct....It's funny how they use boards to spam all their stuff, but when confronted with a serious accusation, they are not to be found??...LOL
Ever think it is midnight in toronto? Maybe they have lives away from the net?
pretty obvious they xeroxed the program and the design layout - BUT Truth Hurts is right and AMP admitted it himself, not much original in his layout, it's a very popular one right now, there are hundreds out there.
Lensman should be pissed more than AMP but the big boys are realistic, they expect to be copied, you never hear a word publically from the Bangbros that they invented fake reality video paysites and the layout both AMP and the PlatinumBucks designer was first used by the the OxCash crew. There were long scroller tours before but some anonymous designer at OxCash came up with had enough unique elements that it deserves to be considered an innovation.
AMP's discount site design work is MUCH better than the PlatinumBucks ones.
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

lol Hooper!
I think I could actually get an exact date if you like:-)
I'm sure it was BEFORE internext!

oops! did I say something I shoudln't have?
and if our shit was plastered on the booth at Internext in full living print color, how far prior to that do you suppose we were actually concepting the whole thing? An hour? A day? Maybe a week you'd give us?

hmm. Just looked. First site was completed May 25.
last site finished was June 6.
Of course I can't speek for Hooper, but I'm pretty sure he is refering to the sites I am thinking of:-)
You raise a point on the coinsidence of a similar launch date and type of program. Does it really matter who thought of the idea first? If they did get the idea from you guys great, kudos to you! if they did not, there are 10 other companies out there where they could have gotten the idea from.
Competition is good.. It keeps people honest... for the most part at least!
everyone's a fucking innovator.... and naturally, everyone's got some sort of alibi to back it up.
well, I don't know many innovators. And I don't know many above average thinkers. They're few and fucking far between.
But I know one. And I know the Adult.com Think Tank busts some serious fucking ass to make shit happen. And it ain't done by snagging shit off a fucking 8' x 10' booth graphic.
If you had a "revolutionary" idea, why put on all over at a show 6 weels before it is ready for prime time? So someone else can copy it? Not saying pbucks did, but others should have been quicker and beaten lens to the punch. Amp, I think you need to find out who made the great biz idea to promote an idea that was not ready yet.

sometimes you demonstrate such vast unbridled cluelessness, even I am amazed that you have managed to successfully feed yourself for this long.

Of course he did, because I would imagine that he did the booth graphics under the direction of Lens. Lesson learned. Even old school millionaires can learn lessons.
Originally posted by BradShaw Amp, answer the question. Why promote it, before it is ready. Just begging to be ripped off. I am still upset my guys did not catch it at the show.
I think it's uncalled for, for you to try to turn this around on me. Stick to the issue at hand. This is not a witch hunt. The facts remain. There can be no denial.
dude.... now, I realize you didn't exactly do a "File ---> Save As --->" here.... but what the fuck man? You ganked my whole base layout & fricken formula?

call me crazy, but it looks like a copy to me. Do your designers have any original thoughts? Or were they directed to gank my shit?
Damn, I haven't seen PlatinumBuck's new $10 sites until now, and it's obvously no accident that they look very similar to Amp's designs he did for Adult.com. I knew they were looking to do a program like our new one, which I said was fine. After all, they had a look at it almost 2 months ago. But copying the sites too?

I guess Lensman didn't know what the sites looked like... Sounds like something Lens and Dave should discuss over the phone and not so much over GFY.

amp's look a LOT and I mean a LOT, better. So much so that i think amp is actually belittling himself a wee bit even comparing those other sites to his work.
cleaner - lighter - and they make you focus on specific parts of it. Amp's work is light and SWEET and the other is, well, busy and heavy.
trying to copy maybe - succeeding ...........nope.
My thoughts exactly. It looks, really, like somebody with some seriously weak Photoshop skills tried to copy the work of a much more talented guy.
One thing, I forgot this last detail: the Biz Markie will always prevail.
Base point being - it doesn't matter one bit who came up with an idea. What matters is who makes the most of the idea - usually the folks that come later do better, because they can launch an improved product.
I also agree with the "why show it off before launch" theory - you don't show your hand until you're ready to rake over the chips.
[Female: Hmm, I see, so you're rather violent?]
Sometimes
[Female: Ok, what would be the situation when you so-called "gank" somebody?]
Verse Two: Eazy-E
Wait... for some people to leave
I got another trick up my sleeve
Step with pep to the back of the house
Look then... all the lights are out
Grabbed the door and it's locked, so
easily made my way to the window
Lift it up slow, cause it takes timing
Looked around, and then I climbed in
Once inside, I start takin
Cause you know it's no time for shakin
Get what you gonna get, front and center
or get five years for breakin and enter
Move quickly, but no runnin
Shht, I think somebody's comin
Hear the front door key, and I flee
out the back door with a fist full of jewelry
Over the wall... don't fall
Wipe my sweat cause that was a close call
Gettin ganked by the E is a lesson
So... is there any more questions?
I believe more programs prepare $10 sites. Rebilling at $40 is not an easy option anymore. Lower prices will keep the overall cb % of a sponsor within the acceptable visa limits. That's the main purpose of it in my eyes. I might be wrong.
I don't think PB intentionally did anything to copy your designs. The new sites follow the same graphic style of their previous ones. Take a look at Milf Riders and College Fuck Tour for example. I do see some similarities mostly in the bottom part of the tours. My guess if it didn't happen 100% by accident, their designer had a look at one of your tours and got influenced without realizing it.
It doesn't need much thought that any copy attempt would got flamed at the same moment and PB people are smart not to do such thing.
Soul_Rebel is right, this is the new trend now given by adult.com with lower membership cost for surfers and lower payouts for webmasters, more and more companies will adopt this. This is indeed a revolution or evolution, no matter how you call it, and a new step forward for porn sales.
