How about you use htaccess to rewrite directories into the
querystring. This way google can spider the site and we can use
google to search it. Less CPU for you and we can still actually
access the useful info on here.

The site is specifically not searchable by Google on purpose. Joe said something along the lines of what's said here stays here.

Howabout getting a spiral notebook and writing all the threads down for me and when I need to find something I'll call you at home and ask you to look it up for me.

Yeah fair enough Lude.

Maybe someone could delete a lot of old posts. God knows there
are thousands by certain people that were never worth the
database records in the first place.

It's possible that a decent DBA could reconfigure the database
server to accept a lot more load.

Maybe they could upgrade to Oracal or something..... Expensive I
know, but unless the search is fixed this site is almost impossible
to find information on.

I think he made his last post in August 2001, and since there is no search feature, I guess you will have to take my word for it

When this site started with an email saying "Go Fuck Yourself".

I really thought it was an anonymous "I hate you" greeting card site. :-)

Been around plenty, a lot of ppl will know me from IRC in the early days. Posting a bit more recently....
