Hi, I'm designing a web site for someone (non adult). Its going to be a basic site, how much should I charge per a page? My experience level is mediocre --- any suggestions would be APPRECIATED -

My basic non-adult sites start at $2,000... but when I had no/little experience I would do them for $500 -- and they sure looked it!
If you are good, $2,000 is fair for a basic site.
I've gone as high as $20,000 for some database stuff and more in-depth content... interviews, on-site studio-lit photography, creative writing, etc.

your best result will be to figure out how muh you want to make per hour and bill by the hour for the job.
Our base mainstream site price is $1799. However, I guarantee our work and the quality.
Majority of the sites we have been doing recently fall into the $3500+ categorySharkyComment

Try to read next time people. The question was how much to charge per page not for a website. How the hell can you tell someone how much to charge to design a website when you don't know how many pages or what's involved in the first place? Mostly text, database, forms, lot's of custom graphics, etc.
For a simple site (since you aren't experienced I'd guess it will be simple) figure $150 to $300 per page for a non adult site from a quality design firm. No bells and whistle like databases or flash. If you're just starting and the pages will surely be amateurish then you could probably fairly charge $25 per page.
Of course, to be honest if you don't have any experience I'm not sure why you think you should be able to charge someone in the first place, but if you keep the price really low and the client realizes he won't be getting an award winning design then I guess a small amount is okay.
At this point you should be designing sites for free just to gain some experience and to get something in your portfolio. Most good designers went to school to learn how to do this and we had to pay to learn, we didn't get paid.Last edited by Hammer; 09-23-2003, 07:45 AM.Porn Site Pros - Custom Website Design, Turnkey Webcam and Pay Sites, SEO, and ConsultingComment
