Books are easily bias, too. But, the thing with books is, the authors almost always put research into the information and can at least provide some stats. Actually there have been at least 3 polls taken by various news orgs...I doubt that they were scientific polls...but I do not know that...and I do not know the questions that were asked. You're probably right. My only combat experience was in Kuwait and and a little north of Basra, but it's not much. The guys I'm talking to over there have only been there for a 7 or 8 months. I will defer to your obviously superior knowledge on urban warfare, large unit verses small unit tactics, and the day to day situation on the streets in Iraq.
