reward for scammers I am tracking down

apparently this guy is downloading fetishbucks designs and selling them to newbies. His name is Jason Hines or something similar and he is ostensibly living in the Eugene, OR. area

actually this kind of thing happens fairly often. I'm still looking for anyone who knows how to find the people behind adultserv.com, aka hostingplus.com

they were hosts I used waaaaay back in the day when I was newbie, I actually caught them taking ALL my tours and renaming the site for thier own domains.

anyone who can give me any solid info on either of the above entities will be amply rewarded.

lol they don't answer those phones, they just take messages and I've tried all kinds of devious tricks to get them to call me but hey must have some kind of list of webmasters they've screwed that they cross index by phone number, address, name etc

me, my attorney and my programmer, along with Diamond Jim of Sitepass.com were once able to put a bunch of info together on these guys, they were running child porn sites and a bunch of shit.

seriously, these guys (adultserv, hostingplus) deserve to be shot, or at least very seriously beaten. Everybody fucked by these guys should throw 1k in the kitty to have them discovered, I'll throw in the first thousand.

I just called vdi.net, who is the hosting company for these slimeballs and they knew who I was talking about right away. Apparently there are already several FBI agents on the case. I'm going to drop him an email and try to get in touch with the FBI on this issue. If there ends up being a class-action lawsuit or something I'll be here looking for other webmasters who got hosed by these guys.

in my case it's been over two years so I don't even know if I have standing anymore, but I have a very looooong memory...

Always wanted that domain, since I own a variation spelled with an "x" instead of "c"...nudepixs.com is a nice domain for my needs, but not worth much of anything compared to that one.

How did you "lose" it?

If it was transferred out of NSI (I assume that's where it was to begin with) and then "hijacked", you may have some options...

Key is to build a timeline and determine the state of the domain all long the way...from the date it was first registered to the time it was "stolen".

When dealing with Network Solutions / VeriSign, one has to keep in mind they have to deal with both the registrar AND the registry if they ever hope to get real answers as to what happened. And merely suing them ain't gonna do it either...one has to understand the system, know the history, have the right contacts, and above all simply be persistant to the point of being a pest.

Domain name recovery, while it's difficult, is not impossible.
