The X-Box sells for $299. HOWEVER, most of the places online are selling bundles, which cost $499 which contain 3 games and an extra controller. Stores should have them individually.

I think that the system is gonna kick some ass. It's gonna be the most powerful system out there, blowing away the Nintendo Gamecube.

The thing is that Bill Gates has his money behind it, so I'm sure that he's not gonna let it fail. If you look at all of the companies that are gonna be making games for it, Sega, EA, Eidos, Midway, Lucas Arts, Activision, Konami, Microsoft (of course, he he), Acclaim, plus a few more. They got MOST of the major designers working for them. Sega is a BIG card for them, Sega is gonna be making some games for other systems, but they're mainly in the X-Box's bullpen and we all know that there's alot of Sega fans out there, I'm a big Sega fan myself, I bought everything that they put out.

Ok, and lastly, one more reason why the X-Box is gonna rule, Nintendo disappoints people. Look at the N-64, that system pissed off many people, expensive cartridges, lack of quality games, too many "kiddy games". The Playstation blew it out of the water. Sure, mommy and daddy will buy a Nintendo Gamecube for their kids, but the younger/middle aged male is gonna want an X-Box.

ALSO, the X-box is like a cheap computer. $299 will get you this -

Four game controller ports that allow easy multiplayer gaming and enable other peripherals, ranging from game pads to voice-activated headsets.

A front-loading DVD tray A multisignal audio-video connector that allows for easy
hookup to televisions and home theater systems.

An Ethernet port for rich, fast-action online gaming via a broadband connection

An NVIDIA graphics processing unit (GPU), delivering more than three times the graphics performance of other consoles.

An Intel 733MHz processor, the most powerful CPU of any console.

An internal hard drive, for massive storage of game information - a first in the console gaming industry.

64 Megs of ram.
----------------------------

So, you go out and build a computer like that for $299 and see what you come up with, he he he.

DarkJedi, you ask, "Why bother with consoles ?" I'll admit that the PC games do have the best graphics out there and I LOVE pc games. HOWEVER, nothing beats playing a sports or fighting game on a console system. PLUS RPG's a much different on consoles, so I have to have the best of both worlds, he he he.
