People do stupid shit. CONSTANTLY. It happens. Look at some of the Internext parties. A good chunk of the shit people pull at those is absolutely ridiculous, but to their defense "oh they're just letting loose some stress!". Fine, so be it.

Now we have a couple military boys, probably my age, who just finished blowing apart a country. They're checking out the zoo one night, looking at the animals, drinking some beer, probably taunting the animals as well. You've never taunted animals at the zoo?

They see a beautiful tiger and want to pet it. Common sense says "idiot! These tigers are still wild!" Common sense doesn't work when you're coming off of a stressful event. So some guy sticks his hand, tries to pet the tiger, and all hell breaks loose. The tiger grabs his arm and starts biting him, knaws off his finger, he's going for the kill.

Now what the FUCK would you do if you were in the same situation? Sit back and watch? Probably so.

The guy fucked up, as many of us do, and unfortunately a tiger died because of it. He will be punished, there's no doubt about it. All this Holier Than Thou bull shit is quite amusing. "Oh, by day they fight for freedom and night they fight innocent Tigers! Shouldn't the military KNOW better than that!?" "I would never do anything stupid!" "I never do things I'm not supposed to do!"
